In a barn-storming speech in the European Parliament Plenary session today in the presence of European Council President Tusk and Commission president Juncker, UKIP deputy leader Paul Nuttall called for the Greek people to stand up and struggle for their birth right – democracy. Paul Nuttall criticised the treatment of the Greek people and urged them to stand firm in the face of the undemocratic force of the EU, thus ensuring their society will once again prosper and that democracy will prevail.

Nigel Farage MEP today addressed the European Parliament over the Greek situation, stating that the European project is coming to an important and historic juncture and that the future of the European project itself was in jeopardy. The UKIP leader said there is a "great game of poker that is taking place for the future of this currency," between the EU institutions and the Greek government, and that "Mr Juncker ought to be hanging his head in shame." Farage continued, "but Mr Juncker said there can be no democratic choice against the European treaties, so there it is folks.

Speaking in a European Parliament debate on the Paris attack, UKIP Leader Nigel Farage, said, "The political class have a lot to answer for" and that, "We must be more courageous in standing up for our Judeo-Christian culture". In his speech he acknowledged the underlying causes for the dreadful attacks in Paris last week and said that the rate of mass immigration had led to communities not integrating properly, leading to tensions within our society. He also explained how a flawed foreign policy has led to a culture of resentment within some of the Muslim community.

EU expecting 'huge gift from Santa'

The EU is expecting a ‘huge gift from Santa’, according to UKIP’s EU Budget Spokesman, Jonathan Arnott, as EU leaders gather in Brussels to discuss a €315 billion investment fund proposed by EU President, Jean – Claude Juncker. The fund, unveiled towards the end last month, is planned to result in €315bn investment in the EU economy in the forthcoming years, using a guarantee of €16 billion from the EU budget and €5 billion from the European Investment Bank (EIB).
